How long does a website migration take?

Due to the amount of different server providers, we cannot make an exact statement concerning the duration of our migrations. The following factors influence how long the migration will take:

  • Bandwidth limit by source and target provider
  • Simultaneous accesses per IP address by source and target provider
  • Maximum data access rate per day set by source and target provider
  • Network capacity of source and target provider

Can I schedule my migrations?

You can create every migration according to your needs – migrations can be started immediately or scheduled for a specific day and time.

Can I create a large amount of migrations?

Of course we have a solution for that – you can schedule and complete several migrations by uploading a csv-file via the import function.

How do I know that the migration has been completed?

After the migration is finished, you receive an automated notification including the migration status (successful/not successful) via e-mail to your e-mail address.

What happens if a migration fails?

In that case you have the option to view the provided error log. If the migration failed due to an input error, you can contact our support to receive a re-migration free of charge.

Can I execute migrations for third parties?

If you are an end customer, you have the option to complete migrations for third parties, provided you are authorized to do so.

If you are a reseller, you automatically act in the name of third parties and are authorized to execute migrations through customer contracts (if agreed upon).

What data is saved after a completed migration?

In order to secure your personal login details, we exclusively save data which is needed for billing and analyses – this excludes user name as well as passwords of source- and destination mailbox – this data will be deleted automatically by the system after x hours.

What payment methods are available?

We offer the following payment methods:

  • PayPal
  • bank transfer
  • SEPA credit transfer

How much does a mailbox or website migration cost?

A mailbox migration only costs you 99 migratos which is equivalent to 9,90 EUR, including 19% VAT per migration. You can migrate your website for 199 migratos which is equivalent to 19,90 EUR, including 19% VAT per migration.

By selecting larger credit packages, you can receive additional discounts of up to 20%.

Who is migrato?

Migrato is a service provider for mailbox and website migration.

What kind of services does migrato provide?

Migrato offers automated mailbox and website migrations to everyone. Additionally, migrato provides archiving solutions for your e-mails as well as data backups of your website data. Domain migrations are optional and are provided by Net-Spacy® IT-Services GmbH.

Why are the migrations automated?

Usually, a manual migration of mailbox or website data takes a long time. Depending on the amount of data, this can be a very resource-consuming process. Our automated solution does not only save a lot of time, but also resources and expenses.

For whom are the services suitable?

Everyone can make use of mailbox and website migrations (end customers, SMEs, corporations, resellers, computer retailers, web hosters, ISPs).

How does the processing and provision of user access work?

In order to receive your access data to the migration portal (backend), just order the desired amount of migrations on our website. After we have received your payment, you will receive your access details via e-mail to your specified e-mail address.

What kind of data can be migrated?

E-mails and websites can be migrated.

What protocols are supported?

At the moment we support IMAP (via SSL) as well as Exchange and Open-Xchange (with IMAP function) for mailbox migrations.

Website migrations are processed via FTP (via SSL).

What information is needed for a migration?

Mailbox migration:

Website migration:

What are the standard ports?
